THE WEEKLY EDIT:
Cooking: Downtime
Married to Noma’s René Redzepi, Nadine Levy Redzepi wrote this beautiful cookbook, Downtime: Deliciousness at Home: A Cookbook, which was recommended to me by a friend with great taste. My expectations are high, and I’m looking forward to cooking my way through it, one recipe at a time.
Listening To: The Blueprint for Mastering Every Conversation
I LOVED this episode of Mel Robbins with trial lawyer Jefferson Fisher (a great Instagram follow, by the way) for its straightforward advice, tips, and tricks on how to communicate better.
Spraying: Attitude All Purpose
I find non-toxic all-purpose cleaners to be so tricky, don’t you? Many of them don’t clean well, and then there are the ones that reek of vinegar or some overpowering essential oil. So, I was pleasantly surprised by how great this EWG-verified "Attitude" spray is. It’s a high-performance cleaner, doesn’t leave a residue, and the lavender/rosemary combination smells lovely.
Planning: Petals and Pumpkins
How cute is this petals and pumkins idea for a girls night or with children? Doing it!
Shopping: J. Crew, Beyonce’s Levi’s, Meri Meri & More
J. Crew is 40% off sitewide this week which was good timing for brushing up my girls’ closets. Embellished barn jackets, pleated tulle skirts, little ruffled polo sweaters , sweet cardigans and swimsuits (always kids’ swimsuits during the J. Crew sale)—done and done.
Did anyone else order the 501® '90s Women's Jeans after seeing Beyonce in them?
I’m deep into planning my daughters birthday and love Meri Meri for all things kids parties. She has cutely requested a unicorn theme.
Last call for the Shopbop Style Event—it ends tomorrow!
The Jenni Kayne outwear this season…Olivia, Brooke, Theodore! (GERI15 for 15% off)
ALRIGHT, LET’S GET INTO IT:
Keeping Your Word With Yourself
People are going to let you down in life. They will give you their word and gently break it—or worse, destroy it. Crushing the sharp lines and sexy curves of consonants and vowels into pieces, eroding them into dust, leaving the words never to have meaning again. C’est la vie!
