Happy Halloween! We’re doing a family costume this year, and the girls picked Troop Beverly Hills, which, honestly, I was thrilled about. Phyllis Nefler? Done and done! And the baby as a chocolate chip cookie? I can’t even! Hope you have a fun-filled day, whatever is in store for you (a good Halloween movie in bed included!).

Made: Sheet-Pan Chicken With Apple, Fennel and Onion
I made this delightful fall sheet pan chicken which times perfectly (30ish minutes at 425) with smashed potatoes. If there’s one thing I appreciate in the kitchen, it’s a perfectly timed dinner. Served with a bitter green salad with blue cheese and toasted walnuts…a beautiful dinner ready in an hour.

Out the Door, Wet Hair Heroes

Forever running out of the house in a combination of basics and wet hair, HBU?

I’ve posted this on stories a handful of times, and every time, there’s a collective agreement of “sameeee!” The most recent of which included one of my girlfriends (hiii, A!) who pointed out that this would be a great topic for Substack. Her words, “out the door, wet hair heroes” included. “Out the door, wet hair heroes?” Is that not the best topic for a Substack I’d personally love to read? (If you’re a fashion girl who writes about outfits and you’re reading this, consider this a request on behalf of all the out-the-door-with-wet-hair actual heroes!)

As much as I’d love perfectly Dyson’d hair, it’s just not the season of life I’m in. Some mornings, in this season of motherhood, hustle, and everything in between, I look in the mirror and think, “How did we get here?” Maybe I was that person with more time for styling. Now? We’re surviving on simple hacks and minimal effort. And here’s the kicker—I’m into it. There’s something empowering about embracing the chaos, throwing on chic-but-comfortable outfits, and rolling with whatever the day brings, wet hair and all. Is this the new definition of “put together?” I think yes.
