Watching: Beckham (this might be old news but just in case you haven’t watched yet!)
Scene one of the new Netflix show, Beckham, and all I could think about was how well this man is aging! Are you kidding me? He makes a strong case for just how beautiful fine lines are.
Anyhow, Beckham’s career took off in 1992, pre-internet, so most of us are more well-versed in his children’s names than his football stats. Watching his talent and how his career unfolded has been riveting - his VB love story included! An all-around great watch.
Living vicariously through: Barrett & The Boys
If you’ve ever fantasized about giving it all up and moving to Italy, living vicariously through Barrett is for you! She recently sold her LA home, packed their bags and moved her family of 5 to Turin, Italy in pursuit of their lifelong dream. She’s sharing their adventure on her Substack - along with great recipes - and I thoroughly look forward to reading each one. You can Subscribe to her Substack here.
Cooking: The First Forty Days

MAKE THIS WEEK:
Coffee w Pumpkin Cream Cold Foam
Maple-Sweetened Banana Muffins
Cauliflower “Fried Rice”
Curry Coconut Noodle Soup
Roasted Salmon with Za'atar and Sumac
ALRIGHT, LET’S GET INTO IT:

All that was required was a phone or computer, an idea, time, and perhaps, a little money. Or, in some cases, a lot of VC money.
Emily from Wilton, Connecticut, started a beauty blog while working at Vogue. A niche site with glossy imagery and an inside look at the fancy products on socialites' vanities. Her website garnered a cult following, one she’d leverage to raise money for what would become the most influential beauty brand of the time. A brand that would grow to a valuation of $1.8 billion.
