The Weekly Edit
cute holiday things, 5 recipes to make this week, what I've been wearing & more
Hi! It’s me on a Sunday! I’m trying something new with The In-Between and test-driving the idea of separating ‘The Weekly Edit’ and ‘Alright, Let’s Get Into It’ into two separate emails. I’d love to know how you feel about it over the next few weeks.
The goal is to build ‘The Weekly Edit’ into its own free weekly series. It’s usually quite long, I cover a lot, and it gets incredible engagement. So, why not give it a try? If it doesn’t feel right for me or for you, we can always go back to the old way. That’s the fun part of this whole thing—we get to make our own rules, right?
I’ll be playing with the format as I figure things out, but what you can expect during this trial is the usual… but more! Think: links to cool things around the web, articles worth reading, show/movie/book recommendations, recipes, what I wore, what I’m shopping for, etc. Again, please let me know how you feel about it and what you’d like to see more of/less of?
Week one, here we go:
Cute Holiday Things:
Three easy things that make me feel chic for holiday parties: gold earrings like these from Sézane, my hair pulled back with a bow (same but different) and black opaque tights (I ordered these from Sézane) with dresses. A really good lip goes a long way, too.
Bowls of cherries could be cute for your next holiday fête. So festive! This plus bows on champagne glasses and long tapered candles.
Need a cute Christmas bow tutorial? This one is easy to follow.
This decadent chocolate granache tart is still a holidy favorite around here.
Looking for beautiful holiday cards? I love Jaymes Paper.
$30-50ish gift ideas for white elephant/girlfriend exchange parties: the best lash curler ever with enough budget left over to add a small tube of your favorite mascara (mine), Flamingo Estate: The Guide to Becoming Alive, an L.L.Bean Bote & Tote monogrammed with something cute/funny, The Crown Afffair style to-go set, Santa Maria Novella incense papers, a chic makeup bag, a monogrammed 2025 planner, the dry gloss manicure kit or the Violet Grey nailberry classic set. Or this if the budget permits.
Reads, Watches, etc.:
“Zero notes!” I loved this reminder to do your own singular thing.
On Black Friday, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. across time zones, Americans were spending $11.3 million online every minute (via). Um, wow!

Forget the Instagram hard launch: are you location-sharing official?
I really enjoyed the Chef’s Table episode on Kwame Onwuachi.

And in case you missed this week, I dive into FOMO, JOMO, WTBIBNWTG (wanting to be invited but not wanting to go) and DWYAW (do what you’re aligned with). Which bucket do you generally fall into?
Wore This Week:
I’ve been in a post-Thanksgiving, cozy-yet-productive kind of mood and have been leaning into uniform dressing. I wore these Jenni Kayne pant a few times (like pajamas but chic - GERI15 for 15% off JK anytime), paired with a button-down and a sweater draped over my shoulders. To chaperone a chilly field trip to Santa Barbara, I added a trench coat and layered the sweater over the trench (outfits on ‘recent outfits’ highlight on IG). This Cuyana bag has been my go-to catch-all, and ‘Ginger’ by Merit has been my lipstick of choice—it’s the one I scooped up over Thanksgiving weekend and it’s great. So great, it appears to be sold out everywhere!
5 Things to Make:
Post-Thanksgiving System Reboot Green Soup
Seared Chicken Thighs With Cherry Tomatoes and Olives
Slow Roasted Lemon Dill Salmon
Dairy-Free Penne alla No Vodka
3-Ingredient Truffles
You never cease to amaze me thank you for your gift 💝 xo
