The Weekly Edit
ina's new podcast, sephora's quiet hours, blue ballet flats, less stressed moms, why adventure matters and so much more
Hii and happy Sunday/happy summer! How was your week? I’m in that weird in-between of trying to find our summer rhythm, it always takes a minute once school is out, you know? Besides that, here’s what caught my eye this week, some cultural tidbits, beauty news, style notes, worthwhile reads and feel-good finds.
The Weekly Edit:
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is coming to Disney+ and Hulu on July 29, 2026.
Dishoom, my favorite Indian restaurant in London, is opening up in New York.
Polaroid is pushing back against screen overload and AI with a bold campaign encouraging people to put their phones down and live in the moment. Placed deliberately in high-traffic areas with connections to tech culture like Apple Stores and Google offices in New York City and London no less!
The ‘nap dress’ propelled Hill House to $110 million. What’s next?
Everyone is suddenly wearing Ray-Bans again (told you!). But also, freaky sunglasses.
Blue ballet flats are the surprising summer wardrobe refresh - cute, fun, adds to cart, so wearable!
Heaven Mayhem is having an online sample sale. Yes, yes, yes and yesss.
After a wait-list of more than 20,000 people, the VB Foundation Drops are back!
RŌZ closed a significant minority investment from L Catterton.
Sephora is rolling out its Quiet Hours which is when they turn down the music, dim the lights and adjust screens to create a “calmer atmosphere” during specific retail time slots. It will be deployed in all regions after being well received in 32 Sephora stores across eight markets.
Aesop has transformed its Wuhan store into the latest edition of its Women’s Library, replacing rows of skincare products with a curated collection of complimentary books written by female authors.
La Roche-Posay and Rhode were the fastest growing beauty brands across Instagram and TikTok in May.
Also going viral? The EADEM face mist (I also really love their softening lip balm).
If you’ve been to LA, chances are you’ve seen the work of Paul R. Williams. Vanity Fair examined his impact on Beverly Hills and beyond: The Man Who Built LA.
I let my need for peace and control run my parenting for years.
And to close things out, three delights this week:
Setting up at the pool with the girls and taking my work calls from there.
Swapping my second coffee for a beauty matcha instead.
Family morning dance parties to Bad Bunny.
If you enjoyed this, would you do me a favor and please give it a little heart? It’s a small thing that’s big on Substack.
Be kind out there and have a great week!
XX,
