Hi and happy Sunday! The first Sunday of spring - how does it feel?
Growing up in relatively season-less LA, I wasn’t particularly attuned to what spring felt like - that full-body experience of renewal that unfolds through the senses. The warmth of the sun on your skin after months of cold, the once barren trees and plants coming alive before your very eyes, the hum of bees and birds busily working, the intoxicating fragrances of grasses and flowers carried by the shifting wind, the knowing that you’re tasting fresh, seasonal produce - perhaps picked from the farm just across the way.
Moving somewhere with seasons has taught me to appreciate these simple joys and made me realize just how generous spring is. If winter can feel like a time of scarcity - the things we lose to cold weather and shorter days - then spring is a season of abundance. More sunshine, flowers blooming without restraint, good moods flowing, good times unfolding effortlessly. Spring just gives. And how lucky are we to receive it?

It’s a great read - carve out some time for this one, it’s a bit longer.
