THE WEEKLY EDIT:
Loved: Chloé Fall 2024
The first show by Chloé’s new creative director, Chemena Kamali (who previously worked under Phoebe Philo at Chloé), is creating a buzz in every fashion corner—it was so good! It’s part boho, a bit rocker and has a sense of romance brought to life through cowboy fringe, billowy sleeves, chiffon, and lots of boots! Also, how chic was Sienna Miller sitting front row?
For the girls: Petite Plume Spring Pajamas
Part of my love language with the girls is pajamas. It feels like a fun way to excite them for wherever we are in the year: Halloween, holidays, Valentine’s Day, and now spring! Petite Plume has an adorable spring collection, which I’ll be adding to the girls' pajama drawer. I’m thinking nightgowns for something particularly spring like this or this.
Contemplating: Levi’s ‘90s 501’s in Ecru
These ‘90s 501’s in ecru are stalking me on IG and they’re not only under $100 but they’re currently 30% off! Everyone who has them says to go up 2 sizes for the perfect fit and I’ve yet to see them on someone that doesn’t make me want to add to cart.

Want: Merit’s Signature Lip MATTE
I love Merit's satin lipstick—Cabo is my jam! Recently, they launched new matte lipsticks that look stunning. Power, Classic, and Antibes have my name written all over them.
ALRIGHT, LET’S GET INTO IT:
What Charges Your Social Batteries?
We spend a lot of time thinking about, and optimizing, our personal ‘batteries’ with the foods we eat, the amount of water we drink, movement, meditation, sleep routines, and the like. Another significant factor in our overall energy levels, of course, is who we are surrounded by. In fact, in the ‘blue zones,’ where people live the longest, one habit they all have in common is that they value community, strong relationships, and social support. But not all social engagement is created equal - there are energy givers, energy takers, and what I like to think of as energy neutral.
Social batteries - and what charges vs. drains them - has been top of mind recently. It’s a topic that feels right to explore here, as it seems there’s a collective “running a bit low” these days and we could use as much energy as possible. A nice chunk of which can be sourced from friendships that fill our cups vs. take from them.
So let’s plug ourselves in, and power up our batteries, by asking ourselves some simple questions: what and who charges your batteries and why? And who and what drains them? And on the flip side, how does your energy, and what you bring (or don’t bring) to the table, impact the social battery of others?
The answers to these questions will be different for all of us but by being mindful of them, can help us say more ‘yes’ to what renews us and ‘no’ to what depletes us. I've also found it helpful to list out some specific (to me) situations that energize and drain me, which you'll find below!
Here’s what's on my list for social battery energizers and drainers:
Social battery energizers:
Inviting friends over to hang out at the house without needing to do my makeup, wash my hair, make dinner for, or clean my house. The type of friends that require zero social battery - this is my sweet spot right now, with the kids at home and my husband traveling a lot.
Friends who like to have meaningful, inspiring conversations and/or push you to think (like this!).
