When we moved from LA to Santa Ynez, most of our belongings went into storage with the exception of what we’d need to get by: a few pieces of furniture, kitchen items, toiletries, and capsule wardrobes.
You know, I go through these exact feelings almost cyclically. The longing for the freedom and simplicity of being a single woman running wild in LA. Late nights, broke but happy, weird dates, amazing late night dates, loud music and all the drinks. I still miss it and often wish I could visit her again, but I also love my little life I have now. 🤷🏻♀️ Guess this is the part of being a parent no one ever warns you about. ♥️
This is such a beautiful piece on the duality of ourselves and lives as we grow up…especially city girls as we design the next chapters of our lives
Thank you! So happy to hear it resonated. Also, love your Substack! ♥️

Yes! This! And same. I hope you take her off the shelf and get to visit with her ♥️
