The Weekly Edit
what girls in LA are wearing, hot girl time management tips, the chicest cheese shop in the world and so much more
Hii! How are you? I was in LA this week for work and it felt so good to be back home. It also felt so nice to come back to the quiet simplicity of the farm.
A few trends and things that stood out while I was there: this necklace, silk pants like Donni’s and LESET’s paired with flip flops, and the “tweakment” everyone’s talking about? Anne Hathaway’s high pony. Also: knit bags, Cento Raw Bar and ChatGPT. One girl told me she uses it as a personal trainer, life coach, content planner and personal assistant. Another said she cut her therapy budget and uses ChatGPT instead. Wild!
This week’s edit:

Brands are leverage TYB for growth in a major way. I went to a dinner they co-hosted with Willa Creative (the stunning tablescape pictured is from the dinner) and the way they’re moving the needle is brilliant. If you’re in consumer branding, get on the platform. If you’re a consumer, get on the platform (it’s rewards driven). A win for all.
Google’s search dominance is finally facing disruption, forget SEO (search engine optimization), it’s all about AEO (answer engine optimization).
Treat culture, a justification logic for everyday spending: the overpriced matcha, the post-breakdown candle haul, the skincare routine that’s one part ritual, one part control, is reframing ideas around luxury.
I follow the dreamiest cheese shop in Madrid, Formaje, and couldn’t agree more with this profile on them: Formaje, the chicest cheese shop in the world.
My go-to, Oak Essentials, is 20% off sitewide for Memorial Day - Tuesday, May 20th through Monday, May 26th. No code needed, it’s automatically applied at checkout. Personal favorites: Luminous Body Lotion, Dream Bath Soak, and Cuir Rose Candle. I’m also using the sale as an excuse to dive deeper into their skincare: Retinol Serum, Ritual Oil, Moisture Rich Balm…yes, yes, yes!
A few other sitewide sales: Aureum is 25% off sitewide too…their earrings! Parachute is 30% off and Supergoop is 20% off.
A list of rare words that explain inexplicable feelings. For example, opia: the ambiguous intensity of looking someone in the eye, which can feel simultaneously invasive and vulnerable.
My 7-year-old is really inot making friendship bracelets (using this), and it’s making me widly nostalgic for summer camp.
We re-planted our herb garden just off the kitchen and it really sparks joy. Basil, parsley, cilantro, chives, thyme, mint…happy!
